CHARACTER
NAME: Kanae Kochou
CANON: Kimetsu no Yaiba
CANON POINT: After her death.
BACKGROUND: Wiki page.
SUITABILITY: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a story about hunting oni (humans turned into demons) and Kanae in particular is a very intriguing character that makes her outstand from the rest, as she holds compassion for the oni and wishes for a day where humans and demons can co-exist peacefully. That very kindness of hers is what killed her prior the series, and it would be interesting to explore how she would dealt with a youkai posessing her. Besides, given that Kanae is a posthumous character that is very likely idealized by the people who remember her, since we never see her POV in the spin-offs, the idea of putting her in morally questionable situations where her kindness and convictions are put to test is very appealing, and it may help to bring out the real girl behind the 'saintly mask' and her true desires as well. Would she be able to keep her optimistic and nurturing self in extreme situations or when her sisters are in danger? That's a question that may be appropiate to answer here!

QUESTIONNAIRE:
● Your character finds an injured okami deep in the woods. Its leg is broken, trapped under a fallen tree, but it’s clearly in good health otherwise. They know this type of youkai is able to discern the morality of their past actions, and can turn hostile to them based off that judgment. What do they do?
Kanae still goes to help them, nonetheless. For her rescuing someone is more important than anything else and she'll try to cut the tree by herself using her Flower Breathing technique and then treat their wounds with care, even if the creature reacts stubborn. She, however, doesn't knows how the okami may react towards her and her past actions, because while Kanae always has been a good girl towards her parents and sister and is overall very kind towards everyone including demons, her kindness was actually a conscious choice she made in order to follow her deceased father's footsteps, who always taught her that it was very important to help each other - and it's the main reason of her compassion towards demon, along with the fact she sympathizes with them due to being former humans driven to madness due their transformation -, and that her actual goal, while it included save people for demons and save the demons from themselves, actually is protecting her sister Shinobu from being a new demon casualty, as she would be completely shattered and alone if she loses her younger sister after she lost their parents (all of this is VERY implied in canon, in the light novels and flashbacks). Kanae believes the okami may think of her as a fake, but that wouldn't stop her from helping them because she never would left anyone wounded on their own.
● Your character's worst enemy asks to meet alone by moonlight in a remote location, to discuss temporarily banding together against a larger threat. How do they respond to the invitation?
Kanae indeed would be conflicted: First of all, she doesn't trust Douma, the demon who killed her, at all, because she was able to see beyond his lies and realized he's incapable of feeling emotions, which made her died pitying him. However, Kanae is also very dutiful, and no matter how much of a threat Douma is for her, if there's a larger threat for everyone, then she would want to know if it's true so she can warn the rest of his companions and take the necessary measures to avoid more damage. So, while still suspicious, Kanae would agree to meet with Douma only for the sole reason of investigate what kind of large threat he's talking about; however, she's not naive: she'll be more ready to kill him in spot as soon she discovers he tricked her, and unlike their last battle, this time she wouldn't hold back and show no mercy towards him. So basically it can be summed up she would place the greater good over her own safety, but still would be prepared enough to face her enemy in case he turns against her.
● Your character has the option to lead a rampaging oni away from path where it would find and attack a lone, inhabited farmhouse. However, the only road they can distract it down leads to the city, where it will inevitably do more damage. What do they choose to do?
She first investigates if there's anyone living in the farmhouse: if she finds people living there, she'll tell them to flee away before she leads the oni to the farmhouse and kill them there, same if it turns to be completely inhabitated. For her is better material damage than losing actual lives.
● A shrine of a powerful god offers your character a unique boon crafted to overcome the biggest challenge they’re currently facing. In return, it only asks to be able to possess your character for a 24 hour span of its choosing, which they will not necessarily get warning for. How do they feel about the exchange, and more importantly, do they accept it?
Kanae would be surprised that a deity would give her such an offer, and would feel honored, though she wouldn't be too keen to let herself be possessed. However, if in exchange of that the god grants her the power to stop demons and safe people from them, then she'll gladly accept it.
